Pre-Conference Workshop: HR Diversity and Inclusion, Creating an Inclusive Culture
Wednesday 16 May, 2018, 9.00am – 5.00pm
The conversation has shifted over recent years, from building the diversity of people within our workforce to one with greater focus on creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, respected and safe to be themselves - where people can voice different opinions, perspectives and ideas within their teams and the organisation. However, diversity and inclusion are not mutually exclusive – in fact they are intrinsically linked where one cannot succeed without the other.
This workshop is designed for anyone who has either a responsibility or passion for developing, implementing or supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives. It will be of specific interest to those who want to gain deeper insights into the key enablers for creating an inclusive workplace, and how to embed an inclusive organisational culture.
- Understand why managing work place diversity is important
- Assess how your organisation is managing diversity
- Implement practices and policies to manage diversity and build an inclusive harmonious work place
